Kyra Minturn

 Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born August 19th 1965. She is an American actor and producer. Her role as the main character on TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most well-known. In her role as Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. The seventh season of the show concluded on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her regular role as Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for a Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film appearances include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) and What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The actress also appeared in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald who is an educator and family therapist, a venture capitalist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII, a speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian as well as of English heritage. Sedgwick claims to be Jewish and has stated that she goes to Passover seders.
